Yesterday was 七夕 (The Star Festival) when Princess Ori and cow herder Hikoboshi are allowed to meet once a year as permitted by Princess Ori's father, who separated the two lovers on either side of The Milky Way after they were so infatuated with each other, that they forgot about their chores.

Though recently it has rained on the night of The Star Festival, so maybe they haven't been able to meet each other for the past couple of years, which is sad for them.

Also, Happy Birthday to one of my students, whose birthday it was yesterday.
